PureSAT® Pulse Oximetry Technology
Our clinically proven PureSAT pulse oximetry technology uses intelligent pulse-by-pulse filtering to provide precise oximetry measurements—even in the presence of motion, low perfusion or other challenging conditions.
PureSAT signal processing reads the entire plethysmographic waveform and pre-filters the pulse signals. Advanced algorithms then separate the pulse signals from artifact and interference, leaving only the true pulse. Using smart averaging technology, PureSAT automatically adjusts to each patient’s condition to provide fast and reliable readings.
PureLight® Pulse Oximetry Sensor Technology
Pulse oximetry sensors use red and infrared LEDs to measure deoxygenated and oxygenated hemoglobin. LED contamination can affect the oximeter calibration, resulting in inaccurate SpO2 readings below 80%. Nonin sensors use PureLight LEDs, which produce a high-intensity pure light spectrum that eliminates variations in readings from patient to patient and sensor to sensor.
Nonin Sidestream Capnography Technology
Sidestream capnography technology from Nonin eliminates the need for calibration or auto zeroing during patient monitoring. This allows fast, first-breath detection of EtCO2—an indicator of breathing irregularities. Waveform trend monitoring helps verify endotracheal tube placement while a unique moisture management solution helps prevent occlusion.
SenSmart® Regional Oximetry Technology
Nonin SenSmart regional oximetry technology features a dual emitter/dual receiver sensor architecture and four wavelengths of light to deliver consistently accurate rSO2 signals. Our SenSmart X-100 Universal Oximetry System delivers both pulse and regional oximetry measurements, and is designed to accommodate more parameters in the future.
